The City’s fiscal year is July 1st – June 30th. The Finance Director and School Business Manager are responsible for the preparation of the proposed budgets with assistance from various department heads. Budget workshops are generally held throughout the months of April, May and June.
The School Board approves the annual school budget and presents it to the City Council for formal adoption.
The City budget is approved and adopted by the City Council; usually at the last meeting of the fiscal year. For FY26, the budget was approved on July 17, 2025.
