Candidates who have made the final selection may be required to successfully complete the physical agility test (MCJA Standard) and must pass a thorough background investigation, which includes a polygraph, psychological, and financial examination. Public Works Department- Full-Time Truck Driver/Laborer
The City of Calais is currently accepting applications for a Truck Driver/Laborer in the Public Works Department. This is a skilled and unskilled manual position in the operation of heavy trucks and related automotive equipment. Preference given to applicant with experience in the operation of heavy motorized equipment including snow plowing and sanding. Must possess at least a high school diploma or its equivalent, a valid State of Maine class B driver’s license or the ability to achieve within 6 months, and have physical strength and agility sufficient for performing the duties of the job. (2) Full-Time Paramedics and Per Diem Paramedics
Calais Fire-EMS is seeking (2) full-time paramedics plus Per Diem Paramedics. Must be a licensed Paramedic or nearing completion of Paramedic certification. Experience and training as a firefighter would be beneficial. Calais Fire-EMS offers a competitive wage.
