The Mayor and City Council act upon all legislative matters concerning the City, approving and adopting all ordinances, resolution, contracts, and other matters requiring policy decisions and leadership. City Councilors are elected at large by the citizens of Calais, as is the Mayor. All terms are three-year terms.
