All Transfer Station window permit stickers expire on January 31, 2025. New permit stickers, expiring in January 2026, are available at the Calais City Building. There is no fee for the permit sticker. 

To receive a permit sticker for your vehicle, you must be a resident of Calais as well as have a valid vehicle registration through Calais. Please bring the vehicle registration with you when requesting a Transfer Station Permit. 

If you have property in Calais, but your vehicle is not registered here, a temporary paper permit is available upon request. A valid registration for the vehicle you will be using is required to receive a temporary paper permit. 

Permits are valid for the vehicles and owners associated with the permit information. Each vehicle requires a separate permit. 

These stickers are only for entry to, and use of, the Transfer Station. Stickers for trash bags do not expire.
